The world's lightest large-aperture G Master telephoto zoom, it weighs just 1045g — approximately 29% lighter than its predecessor — with significantly evolved AF performance. Two aspherical elements including one XA type ensure high resolution throughout. Two ED elements, two Super ED elements, and one ED aspherical element minimise chromatic aberration. Nano AR Coating II subdues flare and ghosting. Four XD Linear Motors boost AF speed by up to 4x over the previous model.
